10 things to do to enjoy your Hong kong trip

Hong Kong is a place that exudes fast and efficient service. Good service is fast service in Hongkong.

From the moment you step in their airport to the train rides and escalator rides, everything is just swift. Food in sit down restaurants are served in less than 5 minutes.

If you are always on the go, Hong Kong is the place to be.

Below are 10 things to do to enjoy your 3D/2N Hong Kong trip!

1) Go to Hong Kong Disneyland.

Hong Kong Disneyland is usually the first in the bucket list for everyone travelling on leisure. Why? Because it is the happiest place on Earth, kids and kids at heart are all giddy and excited.

2)      Go flashpacking.

Flashpacking is simply backpacking with a slightly bigger budget. In Disneyland, food is not that cheap. But it’s okay, you should buy that churros worth 40HKD, you are in Disneyland!

In our case, we had this seafood wanton noodles and honey-cured duck breast with rice for lunch. It was good and authentic. For a 110HKD meal, well, I think it's worth it.

3)      Go and ride the bus or train!

Because believe me it adds to the experience. You will feel like a local and a tourist at the same time for 3 days and it’s cheaper compared to Uber or metered taxi.

4)      Check in to a good hotel.

We chose Shangri-la because: (1) staff discount - it's a privilege I get for working in the brand, (2) location – it is located in the shopping district of Tsim Sha Tsui, a few steps away from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station and Tsim Sha Tsui bus terminal.

Everyone deserves a comfortable accommodation after all.

5)      Go on a walking tour.

Our walking tour brought us to Central Terminal where we enjoyed the famous Tai Cheong Bakery (egg tarts) and saw the Hongkong Observation wheel.

Then, it brought us to the ferry back to Tsim Sha Tsui about 3.50 HKD with a view, why not?

After hopping off the ferry, we saw a store which serves the best handmade mango desserts ever! Again, flashpacking!

Avail the large mango sago because medium is not enough!

6)      Try the local food.

Whether it's wanton noodles or their Hainanese chicken, you must try it! It's authentic, affordable and tasty.

This is in Ah Say Fast Food in Lock Road.
Hainanese chicken = 50HKD.

7)      Try the street food (cheap food).

Fishballs = 10HKD
Milk Foam Gong cha = 16HKD

This is located in Nathan Road (a shopping district) in Hongkong. Instead of waiting for the night market, we started enjoying the street food early! It's cheap and it's good. They have freshly squeezed juices and milk foam in Goncha is simply the best!

8)      Take a lot of good photos.

Because we all deserve to have and upload one!

9)      Go on a shopping-spree!

It started when a colleague asked me to buy some make up and I discovered that make up is cheaper in Hongkong compared to the Philippines so why not!

10)   Explore and wander.

Make the most out of it because next thing you know, you will soon come home.
